Certain important medieval streets were carved in rock. Excavations determined that almost the whole route towards the inside gate was carved in the shape of a step-like path in order to find the way through the slope towards St Georg's Square on Londza.
Archeological research discovered that there was paving of streets. One of them was excavated near the tower 71. It is interesting to see the other places of cobble roadways from various periods which followed one another in successions.
